Math Olympiad

The Math Olympiad Club meets weekly during the school year. It is open to any interested 4th and 5th graders as well as 3rd graders in the G/T Math program. The Club is sponsored by 2 parent volunteers: Mrs. Coppock and Mr. Wang.

The goals of Math Olympiad are:

• To stimulate enthusiasm and a love for Mathematics


• To introduce important Mathematical concepts


• To teach major strategies for problem solving


• To develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems


• To strengthen Mathematical intuition


• To foster Mathematical creativity and ingenuity


• To provide for the satisfaction, joy, and thrill of meeting challenges
